Tom Murdock – President’s remarks.

2017 was a very successful year for the Canadian Plowing Organization. To start with, thank you again to Bruce County for hosting a great Canadian Championship at Walkerton Ontario. Our followers, plow friends and contestants from across Canada will have fond memories for years to come. Congratulations to Francis Sache, B.C. Reversible Champion and Eric Ferguson, Ontario Conventional Champion. These two gentlemen will represent Canada at the World competition September 1 and 2, 2018 in Germany along with coach/judge Greg Timbers. We must not forget our Canadian Junior Champion – Hunter Chown. A future senior competitor.

Congratulations are also in order for Tom Evans and Jay Lennox for their outstanding achievements at the World Championship in Kenya. Tom Evans was a silver medal winner in his grassland plot, finishing 8th overall and Jay stood solid, finishing in 11th place. It has been 41 years since Canada brought home a medal from the World Ploughing contest. Well done gentlemen.

We are excited to return to Sussex New Brunswick for our upcoming 2018 Canadian Plowing Championship. The N.B. committee is planning a fantastic week and we are eager to travel to Atlantic Canada to determine our Canadian Champions for 2018.
